Dear Superchic[k],
You’ve been one of my favorite bands since I was … what? in Junior High?
I remember, in 7th grade, I FREAKED OUT when my Health teacher played Hero in class.
And ever since then, I’ve been listening to you.
You’ve helped me through the deaths of loved ones, especially with Stand in the Rain and Beauty From Pain.
“Stand” and We Live are two songs I will forever associate with losing R & M.
“Hero” is sort of my theme song, in a way.
Princes and Frogs & Bowling Ball always seem to cheer me up when I’m feeling down.
One Girl Revolution & So Beautiful are empowering, and Cross The Line has become a favorite lately.
Not Done Yet is great, as are Get Up and It’s On.
Alive is one that my sister got me a Tshirt with lyrics from, and I love it.
I love that you guys participate in Operation Beautiful.
I love that you sing about things that are relevant, and that you have fun and glorify God while doing it.
I got to see you live (finally!) at Sonshine 2010, and I loved every second of it!
I have a feeling that even when I’m old and slow and losing my memory, I’ll still be listening to you guys. Because you’re that cool. 🙂
