Um… I’m just going to go ahead and give you the habitual Sunday school answer:
Jesus.
I know that it’s basically the habitual Sunday school answer, but I’m honestly not sure I could get anywhere without Him.
I’ve tried it.
I’ve fallen away, tried to do my own thing, brushed Him off more times than I can count.
But every time, I find myself coming back to Him.
Lately I’m finding myself way more interested in living for Him, especially after Sunday night–I want to give Him all of it, let Him take me and mold me into who He wants me to be.
And that’s a good thing.
I’m a little ashamed that it’s taken almost 20 years for me to want Him THIS MUCH (don’t take that the wrong way), but at least it’s happening. And it took Paul somewhere around 50 years of persecuting Christians to turn around after one encounter.
So, you know, I think I’m okay. 🙂
Also, this song has been on repeat in my head (really just the one line) for … a while. Since I wrote this post, I’ve started hearing this on a couple of different radio stations I listen to. I know it’s probably just because it’s a new song and is popular and whatever, but it’s also really interesting, and I think it’s a great reminder.
Seven times seventy times, I’ll do what it takes to make it right…
