I haven’t blogged in almost a week.
This is slightly embarrassing.
I’ve just been either too busy or too boring to type much.
What’s happened since last Thursday?
My roommate and I watched Cars 2 and ate brownies over the weekend. Good way to spend a night.
Sunday morning I went to church with the roommate, which was pretty interesting. It was good, it was just different.
Sunday afternoon, I worked and my roommate and her fiance went to her cousin’s house for a Super Bowl party. They invited me, but I had to work. If I hadn’t had to work, I’d probably have gone, even though I don’t like football, hah.
They’re nice people. I like them. It would’ve been kinda fun.
Monday I had class (took a nap during part of my five-hour break) and then that night I worked.
Before work, roomie and I managed to watch Courageous. 🙂 It finished about 5 minutes before I needed to leave for work, which was awesome.
Yesterday was classes pretty much all day, and some homework in between.
Last night, however, was enjoyable.
My RA invited all of us (first and half of second floor, at least) over to eat spaghetti and cake.
So many funny stories.
I got to know my building-mates a little bit better, I guess.
And then I did homework and hung out on the internet.
Oh, yesterday between classes I called my mom.
And told her I had a lot of homework.
And she said she thought that was how college was supposed to be—busy all the time. Heh.
I’m not sure I like this semester.
My Art prof is… crazy. Sort of. (But then, isn’t that the stereotype for artists?)
He’s just all over the place. Yesterday he was 20 minutes late and then took us on a 15/20-minute field trip to another building to look an art exhibit. Then he pretty much just talked the rest of the class period. (We had 10-minute break partway through during which I ate a bagel. It was grand.) None of us are ever really sure whether he’s being serious or funny or what. It’s strange. And he’s not the most specific person. I’m not entirely sure if I have to read chapters in the book we didn’t have to buy or not. He has copies in the room, and we’ve got handouts of terms, but … I’m not sure what’s going on. I’m not sure anyone else in the class knows, either.
My Research class is going to be a lot of work—although I’m a little more excited about our semester-long research project now that my group’s topic is Disney-related. 😀
sort of the direction we're taking our topic
My Spanish and French classes shouldn’t be too bad. Although I did find myself using French terms in Spanish this morning. I’m blaming it on the fact that class is at 7:40AM and I’m not fully awake yet. 😛
Roomie and I have decided that classes shouldn’t be allowed to start until 9AM. Now if only schools would get that memo… Haha.
And my Law class… I mean, it shouldn’t be that bad. Not going to be a whole lot of homework, it doesn’t seem.
But I’m still not incredibly thrilled about the semester.
But then, I’m not used to this much work.
I dunno. We’ll see how it goes.
I’m waiting outside my Art room to work on the homework that’s due tomorrow. There are a bunch of people in there, though. I think it’s a class, and I don’t want to disturb them. I’m going to wait a little while longer and see what happens.
Maybe I’ll grab a snack. Or go buy my mom a Valentine’s Day card. Or print off the sheet that’s due for Tuesday.
Whatever.
I’ll find something to do.
And if all else fails, I can come back later or just slip into the classroom now and ask if I can work on stuff.
So. Yeah. I’m going to go do something now, I guess.
